Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine rolled oats, milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until oats are creamy and tender.
- While porridge cooks, hull and slice strawberries.
- Spoon porridge into bowls and top with sliced strawberries.
- Add Greek yogurt or whipped cream if using.
- Drizzle with extra sweetener and garnish with nuts or seeds before serving.
Notes
Use rolled oats for the best creamy texture.
Adjust sweetness based on how ripe the strawberries are.
Add a splash of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
Frozen strawberries can be used if fresh are unavailable.
