This Orange Creamsicle Margarita is a creamy, refreshing cocktail that combines the tangy citrus flavors of orange and lime with the smooth richness of vanilla ice cream. Perfect for summer or any time you crave a sweet, nostalgic drink, this margarita will quickly become your go-to!

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

2 tablespoons orange zest, salt, and sugar mix (for sugar rim) (optional)

1 lime wedge

2 ounces fresh-squeezed orange juice

1 ounce fresh-squeezed lime juice

1 ounce triple sec

1 ounce vanilla ice cream, softened

Ice, as needed

2 slices orange or lemon, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Rim: Mix orange zest, sugar, and salt together on a small plate.

  • Rim the Glasses: Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses, then dip them into the orange zest-sugar-salt mixture to coat.

  • Combine the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the orange juice, lime juice, triple sec, and softened vanilla ice cream.

  • Shake: Add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake very well until the mixture is chilled and frothy.

  • Serve: Strain the cocktail into the prepared glasses and garnish with a slice of orange or lemon. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Frozen Version: For a frozen margarita, blend the ingredients with ice instead of shaking.

Make it Spicy: Add a few slices of jalapeño to the shaker for a spicy kick that complements the sweetness.

Swap the Ice Cream: For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of vanilla ice cream for a tangy twist.
