A cozy instant gingerbread hot chocolate mix made with cocoa, sugars, and warm spices—perfect for quick winter mugs or gifting during the holidays.

Ingredients

1 cup cocoa powder

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground cloves

1/4 tsp salt

Pinch cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, white sugar, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and cayenne if using, until fully combined.
  2. Transfer the mix to an airtight container for storage. Stir before scooping when ready to use.
  3. To prepare hot chocolate, heat 1 cup of milk in a saucepan until just below a simmer.
  4. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of the gingerbread hot chocolate mix until dissolved and steaming.
  5. Pour into a mug and serve warm.

Notes
