Ingredients
2 large croissants, halved
1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
1/2 cup Caesar dressing
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup Romaine lettuce, chopped
8 cherry tomatoes, halved
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken with Caesar dressing. Stir well until the chicken is thoroughly coated.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 3-5 minutes until heated through, stirring occasionally.
- While the chicken heats, cut each croissant in half horizontally. Butter the inner side of each croissant half lightly with unsalted butter.
- Place the buttery side of the croissants down on the skillet and toast for about 2 minutes until golden brown. Remove from heat.
- On the bottom half of each toasted croissant, layer chopped Romaine lettuce evenly.
- Spoon the warm chicken mixture over the lettuce, ensuring it’s spread evenly.
- Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken.
- Add halved cherry tomatoes for an extra burst of flavor.
- Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Place the top half of the croissant over the filling to complete the sandwich.
- Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
For a healthier option, use whole wheat croissants or low-calorie versions.
Add avocado slices for extra creaminess and flavor.
Swap chicken for turkey or grilled shrimp for a different protein.
Feel free to add extra veggies like cucumber or red onion for added crunch.
