Ingredients
1 cup apple cider
1 cup chai tea (steeped strong) or 2 chai tea bags
½ cup non-dairy milk (such as almond, oat, or coconut milk)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
1–2 teaspoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Steep chai tea in 1 cup of hot water for 5–7 minutes. Use 2 tea bags for a stronger flavor.
- In a small saucepan, heat apple cider over medium heat. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg until warm and fragrant.
- In another pan or the microwave, gently warm or froth the milk until steaming.
- In a mug, combine brewed chai and spiced cider. Stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Pour steamed or frothed milk on top and mix gently.
- Garnish with an apple slice or cinnamon stick before serving.
Notes
Use coconut milk for a creamier version with tropical flavor.
For a caffeine-free option, use rooibos or decaf chai tea.
Sweeten with extra maple syrup or a touch of brown sugar if desired.
Add caramel drizzle or pumpkin spice for a festive twist.
Use oat milk or barista almond milk for the best froth.
