Easy air fryer turnips roasted to crisp-edged, tender perfection. Lightly seasoned and naturally low-carb, they make a simple, versatile side dish for any meal.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

3 medium turnips, peeled and cut into cubes

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt, pepper, and red chili flakes to taste

Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the cubed turnips in a mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and red chili flakes over the turnips; toss to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange the seasoned turnips in a single layer on the air fryer rack or a greased tray.
  5. Air fry for 10–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Cook until golden and tender, then garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Use smoked paprika for deeper flavor.

Add extra chili flakes for more heat.

A squeeze of lemon juice after cooking brightens the dish.

Try thyme or rosemary for an herb-forward version.

Reheat in the air fryer to keep them crisp; avoid microwaving.
