Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 mozzarella cheese sticks
4 burger buns
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until just combined.
- Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions.
- Place one mozzarella stick on top of one portion, cover with another portion, and seal the edges tightly to enclose the cheese.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the burgers in the air fryer basket and cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve warm on burger buns with desired toppings.
Notes
Seal the edges well to prevent cheese from leaking.
Avoid overmixing the turkey to keep burgers tender.
Pepper jack or cheddar can be used instead of mozzarella.
Serve bunless with lettuce wraps for a lighter option.
